Hi, I'm Amber

I help leaders unlearn the norms they’ve been conditioned to follow in order to solve complex problems and create growth opportunities. For the last 10 years, I have been deeply involved in the world of advanced analytics and AI, and I've made it my mission to bring my learnings to others in approachable and thoughtful ways.

My Story

I am a civil engineer by training. I started my career in the oilfield, working in unforgiving conditions often as the only woman on the oil rig. It was there that I learned the lesson that leadership isn’t about being the smartest person in the room or having the highest GPA.

Leadership is about adjusting, adapting, and earning trust in real time. When weather conditions change, when your body is tired from 18 hours of non-stop work and but the stakes are high, when expectations and opinions change at a minute’s notice, that is when theory disappears and character shows up.

After my time as an engineer, I went back to school - twice - earning my MBA from Washington University - Olin School of Business. A few years later I earned my second master’s degree in business analytics and data science from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. Going to school helps create perspective - you gain exposure to the variety of ways to make decisions, and how numbers, incentives, fear, pressure, and people all collide in the real world.

While I was still an MBA student, I started my own business serving a rural community in Kansas. This wasn’t part of some grand plan; I saw a real gap and decided to step into it. Working with rural communities taught me that real innovation is not what breaks the Internet with news. It is the work that is designed around real lives.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: We should be creating services and solutions that make people happier and not just more productive - both at work and in their personal lives. Systems shape behavior. Design shapes experience. And when we get either one of those wrong, people feel it every day.

I’m deeply passionate about engineering, AI, and digital technology because these fields never stand still. They always evolve, which drives continuous learning, exploration, and a steady reminder that no matter the education or the title, my knowledge will always be incomplete.

I believe music and food are universal connectors.

A song can bring people into the same feeling, even if they’ve never met.

A meal can bring them to the same table.

It doesn’t matter where people come from or what they believe.

They gather. They talk. They listen. They feel a sense of belonging.

That, in many ways, is how I think about leadership too.

Let's connect to discuss opportunities that challenge, inspire, and create impact.
